Professor Joshua Olanrewaju Olaoye graduated from the University of Ilorin in Ilorin, Nigeria with a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering in 2004. In 1998, he began working for the University of Ilorin in Ilorin, Nigeria. On October 1, 2017, Olaoye advanced through the ranks to take the position of Professor of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. He has held the positions of Head of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and Food Engineering. From 2018 until 2022, he held the position of Director of the Unilorin Renewable Energy Centre. He is the International Soil Tillage Research Organization’s (ISTRO) 2021–2024 President-Elect. Olaoye has been awarded a grant for the “Agricultural Value Chain (AVAC) African Agriculture Knowledge Transfer Partnership (AAKTP):2022-2023” project, which is sponsored by Innovate UK as academic lead. In addition to many other undergraduate project students, he has successfully supervised nine Ph.D. applicants and twenty-seven MEng candidates.
