Professor Ayodele Olanrewaju OGUNLELA joined the services of the University of Ilorin on January 2^nd 1992, and rose through the ranks to become a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering on March 5, 2009. He earned the B.Sc. (1980), M.Sc. (1985) and Ph.D. (1989) in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ibadan; Ibadan, Nigeria; Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA; and Oklahoma State University; Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA;  respectively. His area of specialization is Soil and Water Engineering. He is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He belongs to some professional bodies including the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE), International Soil Tillage Research Organization (ISTRO), African Engineering Education Association (AEEA) and American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). He has served as External Examiner in some Nigerian universities, and has attended learned conferences at the national and international levels.
